It’s not easy seeing our loved ones sick and in pain. All the worrying can be overwhelming. It gets harder when all of this happens in the holidays, when families are supposed to be together. And what makes it even harder is when there’s nothing you can do about it. You feel totally helpless.

The parents of a Dachshund named Lola were forced to give her up to a rescue group when they couldn’t afford her surgery. Lola was completely paralyzed; she was dragging her back legs. This was caused by a slipped disc in her spinal cord. Lola’s owners were devastated and so depressed that they had to give up their poor little dog. However, something amazing happened.
