Bill ran away when the wildfires broke out and his heartbroken family thought for sure he had perished in the blaze.

Thankfully, a police officer found him and they were joyfully reunited — with lots of grateful tears and one cheerfully wiggling dog butt.

This happy ending may make your eyes leak a little.
