This Deaf Dog Was About To Be Put Down, But One Person Miraculously Changed It All
His sad, hopeless stance touched the hearts of several kind people who reached out to offer help.
Puggles & Pitties founder Kelly Gibson drove from San Diego to meet the poor pup and at least offer him a more humane euthanization.
Gibson took Nico out of the shelter and into veterinary care while she organized a way to help him finally find a loving forever home. Working with the Humane Society of Hamilton County, Indiana, they raised money and mapped out a plan to transport the pup from California to their shelter in Noblesville.
Over the next several weeks, Nico made the long journey, thanks to 45 kind strangers offering their driving services.
There he was adopted by his new mommies, Bridget Swan and Melissa Garris.
He needs a second chance in life. I hope he gets one he looks like he can be a great dog given the opportunity….
