Shepherd, Zsa Zsa returned to shelter after 2-year-old teased dog with toy
In San Bernardino, California, a friendly German shepherd named ZsaZsa was returned on Thursday evening to the San Bernardino Animal Control. Sadly ZsaZsa had just been adopted one week earlier.
So what happened? ZsaZsa fell in love with her new human, and the man thought he was doing the right thing for the friendly three-year-old dog. The family’s two-year-old child had reportedly been swinging a toy around, and ZsaZsa nipped at the child. The child is fine, and no skin was broken. Unfortunately ZsaZsa can’t speak for herself, and rescuers will never know exactly what happened in that particular situation.
ZsaZsa needs a home. She is spayed and ready for love. How confused she is at this time – no one can explain to this girl why she is back at the shelter. The shelter is full, and dogs who have stayed too long can be euthanized at any time.
Contact the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter located at 333 Chandler Place, San Bernardino, California. Phone: 909.384.1304. Rescues are asked to coordinate with Jennifer Van Ness at Vanness_je@sbcity.org.
