Stray dogs struggle on a daily basis. We cannot imagine their pain. We can only hope that they get the help they need. This is Mila’s story.

Mila was found wandering in an almond field looking for water. She was literally dying of thirst. While she was also emaciated and malnourished, water was her main concern. Water had become so scarce that she had given up on life.

She was incredibly sad and very ill. Thankfully she was found just in time and taken to Viktor Larkhill. He and his team spared nothing. They gave Mila everything she needed and more! Within three months, she had made a miraculous recovery.

Mila was so grateful for her caregivers and all their love. She gave them all the love right back! She never forgot what her old life was like. She said ‘thank you’ to all her new friends every single day.

Her tail wags say it all! Just look at her go! She never wagged her tail before. She really had nothing to be this happy about.

A family came forward wanting to adopt Mila. Viktor happily volunteered to fly her to Galicia where they live.

Mila’s new family has an amazing home with a giant yard. She was so excited to investigate. What is this new place? Is it all mine?

While Mila continued to check out her new digs, someone came to say hello. Next came the appropriate butt sniffs. The two dogs made an instant connection. Mila’s new dad was praying this would happen and his prayers were answered!

The little dog who struggled every single day of her life is now living in bliss. She has a wonderful home, a terrific dad and a brother who adores her.
