Neglected Dog Named Blossom Gets A Bath For The Very First Time
Blossom’s life was, at one point, a complete nightmare.
This poor dog was found living on the front porch of an abandoned house. Several people tried to catch her, but to no avail. Because she was so horribly neglected, Blossom was terrified of allowing human contact.
One day, a woman named Erika, who had been leaving food and water on the porch for Blossom, snapped a photo of the heartbroken dog and posted it online. That’s when the team at WOOF Pet Rescue of Woodward, Oklahoma stepped in and finally brought Blossom to safety. By the following day, Blossom was beginning to open up to the kindhearted folks who wanted nothing more than to nurse her back to health.
24 hours after she was rescued, Blossom got her first bath — likely the first bath of her entire life! In the video below, Blossom gets treated to her first of many primping-and-pampering sessions. It’s absolutely incredible to watch her in the process of learning to trust and accept love.
Wait until you see what happened to Blossom less than one moth after this video was uploaded online…

In June 2015, this was Blossom’s life. Alone, terrified and living on the front porch of an empty house.
A kind woman named Erika had been leaving food and water on the porch for Blossom, but she couldn’t get close enough to catch her. No one could. But she snapped a photo of the Blossom on the porch and posted it online.
WOOF Pet Rescue of Woodward, Oklahoma stepped in and finally brought Blossom to safety.
Blossom — a dog who was terrified of human contact just 24 hours prior — was allowing the team to bathe her for the first time in her entire life.
WOOF began receiving an influx of messages from concerned animal lovers, asking for updates on Blossom…
…And not even a month after arriving at WOOF, Blossom received the best news of her life.
Sarah and Gary, who helped originally catch Blossom in the first place, kept a close eye on her progress as she started to heal — and they decided to adopt Blossom themselves!
After one more trip to the vet, Blossom was healthy and happy enough to be given the go-ahead. Sarah picked up her new “daughter” and Blossom is now secure in her new forever home.
She’ll never be alone again.
