Here’s a beautiful tribute to fallen police officers… Tracey McMenamy is a foster parent for Operation Paws, an organization that does its best to find dogs loving homes. Her husband is also a police officer, and she says that every day she is afraid that he won’t return home when he leaves for work.

Families of officers all across the country have similar fears, and this year 16 different families have faced this kind of horrendous tragedy. McMenamy was inspired, then, when her rescue dog gave birth to ten puppies. She named each one of them after a fallen officer, in a touching nod to families everywhere who have had to sacrifice for the betterment of their communities. What could be more touching than that?
