While many children dream of becoming police officers as they grow up, a 9-year-old from Strongsville, Ohio, is already supporting police departments in a unique way.
Brady Snakovsky, an ambitious third-grader with dreams of becoming a police officer, was concerned when he noticed that a K-9 officer on his favorite TV show, Live PD, wasn’t equipped with a bulletproof vest. Driven by the urge to make a difference, Brady approached his mother about buying a vest for a K-9 in need.
Upon discovering that these vests were quite expensive, Brady and his mother, Leah Tornabene, decided to set up a non-profit, Brady’s K9 Fund, and launched a GoFundMe campaign.
The campaign has been incredibly successful so far. According to Leah, they’ve raised a staggering sum and have donated 79 vests to various police departments, including the Mendon Police Department which tweeted:
“K9 Officer Pichel and K9 Brady would like to thank a very special boy, Brady Snakovsky. Brady donated a LOF Defence Street Fighter Vest to the Mendon Police Department K9 Unit. #BradysK9Fund.”
You can learn more about Brady and his extraordinary mission to ensure all K-9 officers eventually have vests by visiting his GoFundMe page.
