Heartbroken Dog Surrendered To A High-Kill Shelter Has Collar Replaced With A Rope
When this little dog was surrendered to a high-kill shelter in California, his owner removed his collar and replaced it with a thick rope. The dog, a three-year-old Chihuahua, would be very lucky if he is able to find a home and get taken out of the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center.
His adoption listing says he doesn’t have a name yet, but he will be available for adoption on October 8, 2106. Volunteers at the center say he is a very sweet dog. Chi advocate Sal Valdepena said that Chihuahua’s like this dog have a hard time getting adopted from shelters because they are not puppies.
Valdepena is asking for help to let this guy beat the odds and find a forever home. If you can help or know someone who can call the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center at (626)962.3577. Share away, people.
