As he got older, Kane the Husky lost the ability to use his hind legs. This new disability put the poor pup in a great deal of pain, and made it difficult for him to move around. Most dog owners with an aging animal like Kane would have found this to be a cause for putting their companion down.

Kane’s human is not most dog owners. What he devised to cheer Kane up and make his life a bit easier tore my heart to pieces.

Where pain medication ends, love takes over. Thank goodness Kane clearly has an abundance of the latter in his life. The water may aid with his healing, but his human will always be there with a helping hand.
