Tree trimmers in Detroit saw three injured and malnourished dogs living in the backyard of a neighborhood home. They quickly contacted Terri Sumpter from Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue. Sumpter went to the home with Tom McPhee, a World Animal Awareness Society member. They were able to record the rescue of the dogs.

The video below shows the confrontation with the dog’s owner. You will see the owner finally surrenders Max. Max was starving and covered in fleas. At the Centerline Veterinary Clinic, Max was treated and is ready to be adopted into a loving home. There is concern that the other dogs on the property will soon be in the same poor condition as Max.
