Dogs are not only great companions, they’re also amazing security guards. They keep us company and at the same time, warn us of any potential danger. And to top that, it turns out they also make good fire alarms too!

An elderly woman was pulled out from her burning home by her neighbors in the middle of the night. At 11 o’clock, the 67-year-old woman was sleeping in her living room when she woke up to a massive fire. She crawled into the garage, but she was trapped because she couldn’t open the door. While all of this was happening, the neighbor’s dog, was barking frantically. The Boxer wouldn’t stop barking till her humans got out of bed and came outside. The neighbors then hurried next door and saved the elderly woman. Watch the video below for the full story.

The neighbors may have saved the woman, but I believe the true hero in this story is the neighbor’s dog. If it wasn’t for her barking, they wouldn’t have gotten out of bed to save the elderly woman. This dog should be given a reward, don’t you agree?
