Being an authority figure is never easy. You have to set a good example for the little ones, and you’re responsible for making sure they grow up to be the best they can be. It’s an honor, but it can also grind on your nerves at times.

This big dog isn’t actually the father to his little puppy friend… but he sure feels like he has the responsibility of a father! This pup can’t seem to get in enough time with his larger friend, no matter how hard he tries. And he definitely acts like this guy’s his pop.

While the big guy is very patient and gentle with the little one, that doesn’t mean he’s going to let the puppy have at it with his wagging tail. After a bit of nibbling, the big guy has to put his paw down and lay down the law. The puppy’s reaction is too sweet! It’s almost like the older dog sees how innocent and adorable the baby is.

This older pup has taken on the surrogate father role very nicely. He’s so kind to the little guy, but he’s not going to let him get away with any shenanigans, either. It’s all in a day’s work when you’re a father figure to an adorable tiny pup. Not all grown male dogs would put up with the incessant nibbling… but this one’s got a big heart!
