Cafe Opens Its Doors At Night To Give City’s Stray Dogs A Safe Place To Stay
Homeless dogs have become a very prominent problem in Greece, and the Hott Spott café is doing their part to help out. The café in Mytilene, Lesbos island’s capital city, closes at 3AM for customers — but it’s open 24-hours a day for the city’s strays!
Niki Belissary, owner of Hott Spott café, decided to open the doors of her business to help keep the stray dogs warm during the winter’s cold nights. The photo of four dogs sleeping inside taken by Eustratios Papanis went viral shedding light on the shop’s act of kindness.
