Abandoned Newborn Puppy Finds Love and Trust in Humans Despite Rough Start
A tiny, frail puppy named Joy was found on the streets, all alone and left to the mercies of the world. Bereft of his mother’s care, Joy was too young and weak to fend for himself. Thankfully, a team of volunteers from Howl Of A Dog, a non-profit organization in Romania dedicated to rescuing animals, found him and took him to their shelter.
Joy’s arrival at the shelter marked the beginning of his life. Weighing just 160 grams, the newborn puppy was extremely vulnerable – blind, deaf, toothless, and unable to regulate his own body temperature. Raising orphaned newborn puppies presents a plethora of challenges, but the shelter staff rose to the occasion, nurturing him and supporting his growth.
For the first week, Joy’s life was all about sleeping and eating, with the help of the shelter staff. After three weeks, he opened his eyes for the first time. From then on, he started to interact with other furry residents and explore his surroundings. By the time he was seven weeks old, Joy was strong enough to eat on his own. Once he was deemed ready for adoption, everyone pitched in to find him a new home.
Four months after he was found, Joy’s story took a delightful turn. A loving Dutch family fell in love with him and decided to adopt him. His new parents, Ellen and Ricardo, drove across Europe to bring Joy home. It warms our hearts to know that Joy is now living happily in his forever home, surrounded by a family who loves him dearly.
