The death toll from the devastating 6.2 magnitude earthquake Itlay endured in late August is near 300. Not to mention that thousands of people lost their homes, and entire cities were destroyed. Nine days after the earthquake, Romeo, the golden retriever was pulled out of the rubble – completely unharmed!

According to the firefighters, Romeo looked like he had just woke up from a nap. Romeo’s owners managed to get out of the house without being injured and were forced to evacuate the area, leaving Romeo behind. When the family was allowed to return to their homes, after a week, they didn’t expect to hear Romeo barking!
