One frigid February evening, three-year-old Victoria wandered away from home and got lost in the woods. Victoria had thought her dog, Blue was missing and she decided to head outdoors to look for him. The town of Cordes Lakes, Arizona was rocked, and Search and Rescue teams looked for her for 15 hours.

Finally, a helicopter found Victoria in a dry creek bed – and Blue was there by her side. Blue, a Queensland Heeler has been by Victoria’s side since the day she was born, and the faithful dog laid with her as the temperatures fell below freezing. Blue wasn’t willing to let the rescuers get close – but Victoria stood up and smiled at everyone.

Once Blue relaxed he and Victoria were taken to safety. Victoria did suffer frostbite, but everyone agrees that Blue saved her life that night. The bond between Blue and Victoria is incredible! Share away, people!
