13-year-old Edgar needs a soft bed and some kind words before he’s put to sleep at Texas shelter

At the Fort Worth Animal Care and Control Placement Network, both staff and volunteers are pleading with the public to share Edgar’s story. This 13-year-old senior is in need of rescue and, there is no doubt, Edgar doesn’t belong in a crowded shelter where his chances of adoption are so low.

Edgar (A54538647) is easy to handle, but he is slow to move around. Edgar can go into foster, but needs someone who understands the limitations of senior dogs, and understands it might be harder for him to be adopted.

The shelter has not offered much information about Edgar, but interested rescuers are asked to:

Rescue tags must be emailed-

He is located at:

FORT WORTH ANIMAL CARE AND CONTROL-NORTH ANIMAL CAMPUS

351 Hillshire Dr

Haslet, TX 76052

Open Daily 12PM-6PM

Please follow Edgar’s plight here on social media. Share his story, share his photo and help this old guy find a soft bed and a loving heart to make the rest of his life heavenly. We can do it by working together; we have rescued many seniors, and without a doubt, they make our hearts smile.
